WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH PEOPLE?!
I thought that the spirit of Black Friday was about getting a good deal. It was suppose to be a festive time where people get up and act a little crazy just to get a good deal and laugh about being up that early. Is a deal that great that it makes you want to kill someone? If you haven't heard, read the two stories below to see what I'm getting at.
Ever since I've heard of the Black Friday madness, I have only went out twice on that day. I look at the advertisements and I try to figure out why anyone would actually get up and go camp outside a store for days at a time just to save a few dollars. I never once thought a sale would actually make people want to go out and kill each other. All I want to know is was it worth it? I hope those people can actually sleep at night knowing that getting those few sale items was worth people losing their lives.

Isn't it awful? I stopped shopping on Black Friday several years ago when a lady - wait, that was NO lady - tried to jerk a doll out of my hands because it was the last one. She didn't get it. I didn't say a word, just held on tight and stared her down until she hung her head and walked away.
What made her think her little girl deserved it more than my little girl?
I choose NOT to associate with such rude people so that means no shopping on Black Friday.
The nerve of some people. It's in your hand so why on earth is she trying to take it from you? It's not that serious.
My first trip out on that day was maybe 2 or 3 years ago. It was because Best Buy had a 100 pack of CD-Rs on sale for $10 and I thought it was a good deal. The store was pack and the store did sell out. Last year I went out to RadioShack for a $10 bluetooth piece for my phone and it was hectic.
After last year I said I wasn't going out again. Almost became news from people willing to run over each other just to get into a parking lot. Now if I can't buy it online at the same price then I won't have it.
Sandra I do not blame you one bit for not going out anymore on that day.
This kind of stuff makes me sick. Did people not realize they were stepping on another person in their rush to get something on sale?
I feel bad for this man and his family, I hope those people that did this look at their gifts on Christmas and realize a man died so they could have it, since they obviously needed it so bad.
Some people disgust me.
This is why I don't go shopping on that day. It isn't worth getting killed over.
I am with you on this. I work at Macy's part time and people were for the most part okay but I will tell you what some people were yelling and rude. Killing over things is too much. Just awful. What gets into people?
Stupidity and greed are never a good combination. This is so awful.
What made matters worse, the inhumane crowd complained that they had to WAIT because someone had died. For that, I have to ask the question, "Just how much humanity is left in this world?"
People have truly lost their minds.
This society has forgotten completely what Christmas and celebrating holidays is supposed to be all about.
I read about the man at Walmart. How horrible! I didn't even bother going out this Black Friday. Not worth it.
I've never wanted anything enough to wait outside a store for hours on end.
This was sickening. I've never gone out on Black Friday. Crowds are definitely not my thing, and there's nothing I want so badly that I would put myself through that.
What a horrific way to die.

@Diana - With the way people act I'm sure they knew but just didn't care.
@Heidi - Not to be funny but a "good" sale got into them. Nothing was more important than those things they wanted from that store.
@Shae - Very awful. I'm waiting to see if anyone will be charged.
@Jacqueline - Apparently there is very little humanity left. What a very nasty thing to say after they caused the death of a person.
@Diva - Apparently it's about sales and death. Not giving and families and other good things. I'm all for a good sale but that was just too much.
@Mom - This is one of the reasons why I'm staying at home now. I went out twice but never again.
@Mik - I use to say the same thing until I decided to go out those two years.
@JD - I can handle the screaming but to actually kill someone is unreal. That is not forgivable at all.
I feel very sad for the families of those who died in such bizzaire circumstances as these. No way would I stand in line before a store opened to rush in with a crowd--it just makes no sense at all. This is a real shame that this stuff happens. People really need to grow up and respect one another!
And that is why I do all of my holiday shopping OnLine.
I just can't see myself going out on a Friday like that again. I wouldn't even drive anyone to those sales.
This is really sad. I can't imagine people acting like wild animals just to get a few discount.
